The Wiebe Group uses the track and switch tamping machine 09-32 4S for all kinds of track construction and tamping tasks. The 3-rail and 4-rail equipment delivery excellent tamping results below the sleepers whilst at the same time handling the track extremely carefully.

The split-head equipment also allows individual positioning of the tamping aggregates and excellent tamping below B75 sleepers. The semi-aggregates can also be set so that the tongue and core areas of the switches are also tamped to the optimum.

A split core for whole tasks

The B75 sleeper was developed to cope with the increasing speeds and axles loads of rail traffic and the construction of railways systems. Its overall length of 2.8 metres means it has a larger lateral displacement resistance and also new requirements in terms of maintenance and processing machines, which is why the 09-32 4S has split-head equipment. Its tamping aggregates are distributed across the middle of the rails, can be extended to the side which allows it to be adjusted to various sleeper and track situations.
