The material, conveyor and silo carriage MFS 40/4-A-ZW is used to continuously convey, save and transport the removed ballast and cuttings. As these materials are reused in modern track construction after maintenance and new construction work, it is also flexible with respect to unloading in addition to transporting and storing: it can unload ballast, chippings or other transportable materials on the side or forwards into the work direction.
As each carriage is equipped with its won energy supply unit, they can be used individually and separately from each other.

The MFS 40/4-A-ZW has two crawler chassis that allow the unit to move in the ballast bed, on the formation level and in construction pits. This car can move independently in the track at five kilometres an hour thanks to its driven bogie.

When working in and on the track, huge volumes of cuttings are created that need to be moved, stored and reused. Without special cars, modern track construction would no longer be possible.
The MFS 40/4-A-ZW ensures that we carry out the track construction work efficiently with respect to moving materials and in line with current standards. The independent energy unit in the car also increases the flexibility because several cars can be used on the track for different processes.
This bunker bulk goods wagon can be used as a silo or conveyor wagon.
Automatic pre-selections allow smooth use of this material wagon with an integrated digger.
The loading station allows materials to be loaded under live cables.
